Guru Maharaj, Dr. Chaturbhuj Sahay Ji, ignited a spiritual revolution in 1930 by founding Ramashram Satsang Mathura (RSM)—a movement born out of deep reverence for his Guru, Lalaji Maharaj Shri Ramchandra Ji.

The word Satsang comes from two Sanskrit roots: Sat, meaning “Transcendental Energy” or “Truth,” and Sang, meaning “to be with.” Thus, Satsang signifies being in the presence of Transcendental Energy—a sacred alignment with truth, peace, and divine guidance. Traditionally, this path was followed under the close, personal mentorship of a Guru, often in small, intimate groups. But Guru Maharaj expanded this vision.

Through books, newsletters, and tireless travels across northern India, Guru Maharaj transformed a personal, one-to-one process into a spiritual movement. Yet, at its heart, Ramashram Satsang Mathura remained a family—a Satsang Parivar—bound not by rituals or dogma, but by love, guidance, and the shared quest for the “Ocean of Peace.”

Guru Maharaj connected with every seeker as if they were part of his own family. His mission was inclusive, universal, and deeply personal. Everyone—regardless of background—was introduced to the same spiritual practice that had led him to self-realization at a young age.

Now, nearly a century later, Ramashram Satsang Mathura continues to shine as a beacon of spiritual light in an increasingly material world. What began in Mathura has grown into a vibrant global community—a sanctuary where seekers find purpose, joy, and health through the pursuit of inner peace.

The Satsang family warmly welcomes all who seek to embody light, love, and peace—walking together on the timeless path to the Ocean of Peace.

Guru Maharaj’s home—and more importantly, his heart—was always open to anyone seeking peace and calm in a turbulent world. He welcomed all with love, offering guidance and support on their inner journey, no matter their background or life circumstances.

Inspired by this spirit of openness and universal love, we are introducing a new way for seekers to connect: a “virtual home” for those beginning their spiritual journey.

A simple, welcoming introduction to Satsang

We’ve listened to feedback from new practitioners and are introducing a shorter, 45-minute orientation session designed to ease beginners into the Satsang experience. This session is crafted to be gentle yet meaningful—helping participants feel more comfortable before joining longer group sessions.

Key features include:

  • A guided meditation that helps ease the mind into a peaceful and receptive state

  • A brief overview of the Satsang practice, its purpose, and what to expect

  • A personalized approach, beginning with a brief survey at the time of signup, so mentors can better understand each participant’s background and needs

  • An open Q&A, offering space to ask questions and receive real-time support

  • An introduction to the community, events, and resources available to help build a strong and sustainable spiritual practice

This orientation is the perfect first step for those feeling called to begin their inner journey in a supportive and relaxed environment.


🌿 4. Retreats & Immersive Weekends

Deepen your experience in the company of kindred spirits

For those looking to immerse more deeply, we are launching Retreats and Immersive Weekends designed not just as events, but as transformative journeys of connection and growth.

Participants will be grouped into small groups of 8–10 fellow seekers, along with a few experienced mentors from the same or nearby regions. These groups will stay connected for four weeks of structured support following the retreat—ensuring that the insights and peace gained during the immersive experience translate into lasting personal transformation.
